2024 Career Exploration Camp

The registration deadline is May 30, 2024!

SBC is back in 2024 with our Career Exploration Camps!

Career Exploration Camps provide the 1st step for any high school student who loves sports, and is curious to learn how they can turn that passion into a career. Since 2019, more than 500 high school students have participated in these in-person camps.

What is the process to attend?
In order to attend, students must first register and complete their liability waiver. The application will be shared following registration. Students will be admitted based on the following criteria:

  • $50 “REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT”.

  • Preference is given to rising juniors and seniors

  • Completed registration + liability waiver will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • up to 60 students can attend each program.

WAITLIST PROCESS

Once a camp is SOLD OUT, there will be an option to “purchase” a $0 WAITLIST TICKET. This no-cost ticket is for us to capture your information without a transaction. Once a spot has opened up, we will notify you to place the $50 “REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT”

WHY DO WE REQUIRE A $50 “REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT”

We’re proud to provide SBC programs to students at no cost to students and families. But removing cost has also created a problem of attrition – historically, ⅓ of all students whom are fully registered DO NOT actually attend our camps. This attrition wastes precious resources, and also available seats for deserving students.

In order to continue to offer our programming free of charge, it is important to obtain an accurate headcount to order the appropriate number of lunches, snacks, drinks and other refreshments that students are provided with throughout the week. A refundable deposit helps us to ensure that students who register have full intention to attend the camp and do not take up a spot that could otherwise be used by a deserving student.

CANCELLATION POLICY

$50 “REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT” per student is required at registration. Students that attend Day #1 of their sessions will be provided with 100% REFUND. We understand that life has unexpected events, please see below for the possible cancellation scenarios:

  • 3-Weeks or more before Day #1 of their session: 100% of REFUND is provided.

  • 14 days or less before Day #1 of their session: 50% of REFUND is provided.

  • No Call or No Shows during Day #1 of their session: No refund will be administered.

In the event of a medical or family emergency cancellation:

  • Medical Cancellation: If a doctor’s written verification is provided at least 1-week prior to the start of the students camp session, 100% REFUND will be provided. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to sidney@sportsbizcamps.com.

  • Family Emergency Cancellation: In the event of a family emergency (death or severe sickness), please contact us immediately, 100% REFUND will be provided. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to sidney@sportsbizcamps.com.

When will I receive my REFUND?
All refunds will be processed in August 2024. The refund process involves careful administrative procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency. While our team is committed to a thorough and prompt processing of refunds, please note we also dedicate focus to the successful execution of our programs. Your patience during this time is greatly appreciated. Thank you for understanding, and if you have any questions/concerns please reach out to sidney@sportsbizcamps.com
